Collect content for your galleries
Bring customer photos and videos into Socialphotos from Instagram, uploads through your storefront gallery, shareable upload pages, or files you upload yourself.
This guide explains each source and where to find the content it collects. Choose the method that fits your workflow, then follow its setup guide.

A source is where content arrives. A gallery is where shoppers see the content you choose to feature.
Bulk Uploads: add files you already have
Use Bulk Uploads. Select the files you want to add and upload them yourself.
This fits customer photos received by email, photos taken in your store, and media files exported from another gallery tool. For example, upload a photo a customer sent of your cushion in their living room, then add it to your customer lookbook.
Uploading files from another tool does not automatically transfer its gallery settings or product tags.
Upload photos you already haveCustomer Uploads: collect through your gallery
With Customer Uploads, customers click the upload button in your Socialphotos gallery and submit content there. You review those submissions in Customer Uploads inside the app.
Use this when your gallery is already on your store and you want visitors to contribute while browsing. Enable the gallery's upload button so customers can upload their photos from that page.
Set up uploads through your galleryUpload Pages: collect through a shareable link
Create an Upload Page and share its link in your post-purchase email, a direct message, or a QR code on a package insert. Customers open the page and submit a photo or video without signing in.
Add the link to the emails and messages you send to customers. Each Upload Page gives them a dedicated place to submit content.
These submissions appear in Upload Pages inside Socialphotos, separately from Customer Uploads.

Paste the link to any public Instagram post, from a creator, a customer, or your own account, to import it without connecting Instagram. Or connect your account to work with your posts, tags, mentions, and hashtags. What a connected account can retrieve depends on Instagram's account and permission requirements and the feature available on your plan.

After collecting content, choose the photos and videos you want shoppers to see:
- Open the source section and choose content.
- Use Add To Gallery for a page gallery, or Tag Product for shoppable content and product-page placement.
- Your installed gallery updates with the selected content. If you have not installed it yet, follow the Shopify installation guide.
Page galleries are available on Basic, Advanced, and Premium. Product tagging and product galleries require Advanced or Premium. Video display requires Premium, regardless of where the video came from.

Do I need Instagram to use Socialphotos?
No. You can use Bulk Uploads, Customer Uploads, or Upload Pages without connecting Instagram.
Can I combine content from different sources in one gallery?
Yes. Use Add To Gallery to add content from any source to the same page gallery. On Advanced or Premium, you can also tag the same relevant Shopify product in content from different sources.
What is the difference between Customer Uploads and Upload Pages?
Customer Uploads collects submissions through the upload button in your storefront gallery. Upload Pages collects submissions through a separate page with a shareable link. You review each in its own section inside Socialphotos.
Do customer uploads appear on my store automatically?
No. You review incoming uploads and choose what to feature by adding content to a gallery or tagging a product for an installed product gallery.
