Choose a content source
What is a content source?
A source is where a photo or video comes from before you choose it for a gallery. Socialphotos supports four sources. Use whichever fits the content you have; you do not need Instagram or an Upload Page to get started.
Sources collect content. Galleries display the content you select. A customer upload does not appear on your storefront until you add it to a gallery or tag a product for an installed product gallery.
Customer Uploads: customers submit through your gallery
A customer browsing your storefront clicks the upload button in your Socialphotos gallery and submits their content there. You review those submissions in Customer Uploads inside the app.
Use this when you want customers to contribute while they are looking through your gallery. It works through the gallery itself; it does not require a separate Upload Page.
Set up customer uploads in your galleryYour Uploads: add content you already have
You upload the files yourself. This section is called Bulk Uploads inside the app.
- A customer emails you a photo.
- A customer visits your store and you take a photo of them using your product.
- You have photo files exported from another gallery tool.
Add those files, then choose their gallery or product tags. Uploading files from another tool does not automatically transfer its gallery settings or tags.

Create a standalone upload page and send its link in an email or message, or use it as the destination for a QR code. Customers open the link and submit a photo or video without logging in.
Use this when you want to ask for content directly, without sending someone to find the upload button in your storefront gallery. These submissions appear in Upload Pages, separately from Customer Uploads.
Create and share an Upload PageInstagram: choose content from connected accounts
Connect Instagram to work with posts, tags, mentions, and hashtags available to your account. Instagram’s account and permission requirements determine what Socialphotos can retrieve.
Use this when customer content is already on Instagram. You can combine it with any of the three upload methods above.
