Switching gallery apps usually means rebuilding a library by hand: re-uploading photos, re-tagging products, and recreating each gallery. If you're moving from Cevoid, we do that part for you. Send us your content export and we'll bring it into Socialphotos with its product tags and gallery placements.

This is an assisted migration, done by our team, not a self-service importer. It works for merchants and for agencies moving a client's store.
Contact us before you cancel Cevoid. Cevoid's media links stop working when the subscription ends, so the migration has to finish while your Cevoid account is still active.

What moves over
- Photos and videos, stored in Socialphotos so they no longer depend on Cevoid's links.
- Product tags, matched to the products in your Shopify store.
- Gallery placements: each post goes into the galleries you had it in, including posts that appear in more than one gallery.
- Original creators, captions, and dates.
How it works
- Send us your content export. A CSV with media links, creators, captions, dates, product handles, and gallery names. If you're not sure what you can export, send what you have and we'll check it. Download a sample CSV to compare the format.
- We test a small sample first, free during your trial. We import about 20 posts and match their product handles to your Shopify products. You check how they look in your store before anything else is imported.
- Choose an annual plan and we import everything, free. Photos, videos, product tags, and category galleries, with the original creators, captions, and dates.
- We verify every file and tag, then send you a report of anything we couldn't match, such as tags for products you've since deleted, so you can decide what to do with them.
- Keep Cevoid running until you've checked your galleries. Then switch over.
A real migration
In September 2026 we migrated a UK home-fabrics retailer from Cevoid. The move covered more than 1,700 photos and videos, about 1,000 product tags, and six category galleries. The request came from the store's agency developer, who prepared the export. Tags pointing to products that were no longer in the store were listed for the merchant to fix rather than guessed.
What doesn't transfer automatically
- Storefront styling and layout. You choose your Socialphotos layout (portrait carousel, horizontal carousel, or scrolling grid) and styling after the import.
- Cevoid features without an equivalent, such as rights-management records, email widgets, and CRM triggers. Keep your own records of content permissions.
- Filter tabs within a single gallery. Socialphotos uses one gallery per category instead.
- Tags to products that no longer exist in your store. We list them for you instead of guessing.
Which plan you need
The full migration is free with any annual plan. Product tags and product-page galleries need Advanced or Premium, and video display needs Premium, so most Cevoid stores need Advanced or Premium annual. How much does the migration cost?

Do product tags come across?
Yes. We match each post's product handles to your Shopify products and check them post by post.
Can a post be in more than one gallery?
Yes. Posts keep all their gallery placements.
How are photo sets handled?
Each photo in a set is imported as its own post, the same way Cevoid stores them.
How do I know nothing is missing?
We report totals per gallery and list any product tags we couldn't match, so you can compare them with Cevoid before you switch.
I'm an agency moving a client. Can I send the export?
Yes. Most of the work can happen between us and the developer. The store owner only needs to approve the sample.
